Four pct increase at TME’s weekly close

TEHRAN – A total of 120,760 tons of various steel, aluminum, and molybdenum concentrate valued at 678.5 billion rials were traded at Tehran Metal Exchange (TME) from February 25 to March 1.
The figures indicate 4% and 3% increase in terms of volume and value respectively compared to the last week. Steel products, with 118,000 tons at Rls.458.8b, took 97.71% and 79.29% of weight and value correspondingly of the total weekly trade.
Copper products assumed 1.4% and 13.6% of weight and value in that order, whereas the aluminum sector had 980 tons at Rls.22.5b of the market weight and value-wise.
Molybdenum allocated 100 tons worth at Rls.562m to its group of products, bringing total market supply to 143,380 tons versus 231,780 tons of demand.
No trade was reported on zinc products and precious metals concentrate for the period.
